Unconventional Resources (UR) is expanding rapidly to meet the defined Unconventional Gas to meet the local demands, and achieving them cost-effectively and safely. UR is growing into seven departments/divisions, where UR Operations department/division is a key to meet the UR goals.
The UR Operations is responsible to operate all the surface facilities which include the field wells and processing facilities where their role will be to operate the well manifolds, provide field services, maintain the facility and reduce the equipment down time, perform the PM activities, provide maintenance services in addition of providing all the technical engineering and inspection activities. The hiring is required to meet the significant increase in the operation activity level where by the end of 2018, it is estimated to have more than 270KM pipeline, 520KM flow line and five processing facilities scattered in different geographical locations
Saudi Aramco/UR is looking to appoint an Inspection Engineer to contribute to the inspection, follow the construction and participate in the commissioning and testing activities for the new shale gas facilities. The candidate will have deep understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities. In addition, he will have some knowledge of product properties, customer applications and requirements
The Inspection Engineer must also demonstrate the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams producing reports, studies and presentations that are pivotal in shaping management’s decisions
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following minimum requirements:-
Ten years of professional inspection experience, preferably in the Gas or similar process industry.
Must be willing to work at remote areas, high elevations and in confined spaces.
Must be computer literate with competence in Microsoft Office products (i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of other systems utilized within the specific discipline and required by the inspection roles.
In addition to the minimum requirements stated, the successful candidate will be expected to have the competencies frame work as mentioned below:

- Willing to develop young inspectors
- B.S. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential.
- API/AWS/ASNT Level-II certifications are desirable
- AWS or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification or Equivalent
- SA Coating Inspector Level II Certification or equivalent
Two of the following certificates:
- API 570
- API 510
- API 653
Must read, write and speak English fluently.
Must be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.
Must have a valid driving license.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Sr. Inspector will be required to perform the following:
Participate in integrity assessment on operating facilities to ensure the integrity of the equipment and piping.
Perform applicable duties required of an Inspector within the assigned inspection discipline and certification limitations.
Train personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines and NDT methods.
Perform inspections the incumbent is qualified/certified to perform.
Develop inspection monitoring plans based on the identified damage mechanisms of a process unit.
Develop QA/QC inspection test plans.
Participate in shutdowns, issue recommendations for ensuring integrity of equipment and piping, monitor implementation of the recommendations and forecast the materials required for next shutdown.
Write inspection reports, pre & post T&I reports, worksheets, non-compliance reports and makes logbook entries of on-site inspection findings, as appropriate ensuring that all hard copy and electronic databases are initiated and maintained.
Participate in implementation of the MoC procedure. Participate in incident investigation and failure analyses related to mechanical integrity of static equipment, and identify the weakness in the procedures, systems and methods.
Support the introduction and implementation of new technologies in the field of inspection.
Perform other miscellaneous related duties as directed by the applicable Supervisor.
Perform field work and inspections by assignment, as required to support proponents.
Accept visiting or working in remote locations oil/gas facilities.
Assist proponents with monitoring construction/project activities and provide input/approval to certify mechanical completion of facilities prior to startup.
